Project Description

This is the site of the project CAND, Collective Attitudes and Normative Disagreement. CAND was an interdisciplinary project on the  perspectival nature of legal discourse and was hosted by the Philosophy of Law Group in the Law Department at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. The project is supported by the Seventh Framework Programme of the EU.

The main aim of the project was to increase our understanding of legal and normative discourse in light of contemporary accounts of the semantics and pragmatics of deontic modals, and of collective intentionality. This was a highly interdisciplinary project, connecting various philosophical disciplines with jurisprudence.

On this site you can learn more about the people involved in the project, its activities, research outputs, and of its funding sources.

With the end of the project, the site moves from the page hosted at the University Pompeu Fabra to wordpress, definitely.

Further results of the project will be announced here.
